THE ONLY REASON I DITCHED FACEBOOK FOR STEEMIT.
From the past years, communication has been simplified through social media. Despite all the modifications and improvements on various social media platforms.
Steemit is the biggest social network invention of the 21st century. It outshined all other social media sites by attaching an automatic monetary value to posts and also curation rewards. Most important to note is that Steemit operates as a block chain network and Steemians earn Crypto currency compared to Facebook time waters who earn Zero Crypto currency.

I permanently deactivated my Facebook account on the 10th of April 2018 due to the following reasons.
Facebook is crowded by half baked, useless and plagiarized information. Unlike Steemit where a supervisory role was given to @cheater bot which detects any plagiarized, it’s absurd that most Facebook bloggers post articles that are copy pasted from online websites.
As a result, this affects the communication skills of bloggers and also denies the followers a chance to access authentic and quality information. This has left Facebook at a mediocre level.
Secondly, due to weak blogging rules on Facebook, there has been increased scamming rate on that site. This has left the site full of unruly rogues who benefit on the naivety of new bloggers by scamming their money.
On the contrary, Steemit has a powerful team that moderates the site and once a blog is detected to be a scam, it is banned from the site at once.
In addition, the lack of sufficient supervision has made the Facebook site a den of thieves and fake profiles. As a consequence, the majority of facebook users were useless to me and had no influence in my life unlike Steemit where I have found a great family that is supportive and development.

Various victims of atrocities have sought funding through Steemit using @fundraising tag among which include the causalities, project developers, war victims and refugees among others. Indeed, all these these people have always got the help they sought through Steemit. This has been an inspiration to me and I have never witnessed that kind of collective spirit of helping each other on any social media site in the world.
In conclusion, I being an influencial person in my community and the country at large, deactivating my Facebook account for Steemit will not only awaken my country mates but also promote steemit at large. Your stay on Facebook makes your future paralyzed as the future is Crypto as Facebook is a century away from adopting itself into a block chain network.
Please promote Steemit, it’s a calling that should not leave any one behind. It’s time for the world to go Crypto.

Very good decision you have taken. I really appreciate to your descision. Facebook is only for wasting our valuable time where we ends up with nothing. There is no one to response to your valuable content. But steemit is very wonderful which respects our voice stating that "your voice is worth something"
There are several fake information we get in the Facebook. Although there are bunches of fake id s with various funny names. I think facebook is only for uploading photos and pass comments like wow, very nice pic etc etc.
