ELI5 - Where Did My Posting for Today Go? Possible Answer Included
I started to post this as a question, as when I logged in my posts/comments appeared and disappeared.
A couple of more logoff cycles and it looked like had gone for good.
I was also getting a series of "transaction failed" messages on attempts to upvote (or like I'm getting now while trying to post this)
check_max_block_age( _max_block_age )
I did check on Steemd to check the block chain, and got this message:
error
Node update in progress
and this one
Node replay in progress
So if you start having this problem, and think it's the end of the world, check Steemd and give it some time
I to am having platform problems for the first time in a long time; maybe the " hack " is on and someone is going after my Steem : )
Bet they will be surprised when they realise the ' power down ' is divided over 104 weeks ! ! !
Helpful post, if you google search this string -- only 2 come up. -- This happened to me today in the last hour. I had copied all the content from my WordPress blog that I own. Shut down the tab, opened it back up again in another browser and started the same post fresh again. Still is not letting me post the story and I had the same issue also -- with the tags. IDK what is going on. I did try using Firefox -- and someone here in this thread said that browser has issues w Steem. sigh. Good input here by folks, TY very much!!
I'm having serious issues as well today. I went to post my "500th post" post (ironic) and it just wouldn't take. It said no posting authority, maz block, and other error messages. I tried closing my browser, restarting my computer, using other browsers, etc, and it wouldn't even let me log in - Incorrect Password! The end of the world right?!?
Then I discovered I could log in from my phone. Hmmm. Now I'm at the library and logged in there with no issues. I'll try getting this 500th post posted, then off to work for the evening. I maybe need to clear my browser when I get backhome. Steemit has issues with Firefox I've learned, if that helps you any btw.
Best, Guy
Congrats on your 500th!
rank amateur !!!! only 500 posts, piffle complete slacker . . . I myself have managed 1, 342 posts to manage 159 followers and my reputation of 54 . . .
And here is you with a Rep of 56 from 500 posts, complete amateur; and I bet you have not been here three and a half months either : )
This post was my pitiful attempt at humour ; )
Well done on a Rep of 56 from 500 posts ! ! !
Haha. I have seen a few really new people with reps in the 50s by their second post and I'm like "wtf..."?
took me about 6 weeks, but I post mainly on items of low interest to most folks
It is the quality of your book blog posts I think. If your making like $50 or 250 on a post or two that is going to hugely pump up your Reputation . . .
The amount made is of course the result of the power of the upvoter(s), and the newbies I was mentioning had upvotes from ned, etc right off the bat so zzzzzing straight to the 50s. I have one article that broke $200 early on, and a few pages that curie was good too. Without them I'm back to getting 3 cents, haha
Your posts were high quality and professional looking, so maybe you can say you were lucky or maybe people were just impressed with the work and effort you put in : )
Who knows what caused your Rep of 56 but unless you decide to start a " Whale-a-cide " campaign on the side your Reputation should be secured ! ! !
Cannot understand the mentality of the Japanese to continue their fishing hunting experiments with Whales and Dolphins . . .
Anyways , Congratulations ; )
Congrats on the milestones!!! Nice.
Thank Barry, very kind of you to say so.
im getting this issue too. i googled the fail trans mssage and your post right is the only thing that comes up. lol
wish I had better info for you, but I guess it was just a node going through maintenance.
I gave it about an hour after pulling my hair out and doing different things and eventually it uploaded.... Ironically on firefox which some had said caused issues -- which it had for me also.
Did you check Steemd and see if a profile check on your name came up with a node reset entry? I thnk that these issues are just a problem with a Steem node resetting...even though I don't understand what a Steem node.
I'll have to look that up and post it to this convo
