RE: [Guidance] : To comment or not to comment?

in #help6 years ago

Well said! Extremely helpful comment to add to this discussion.

Flattery and low-effort comments don't add any value to the honest growth of anybody and it's a misconception held by many people that that will help them grow too.

I am going to head over to @rebeccagraham's account and check out what she has to say. It's great to hear that there is other like-minded people sharing valuable advice across the platform. Thank you for letting us know @alexdory.

In order to change other people's mentalities we have to show them that it's not out of the ordinary to think this way. More like us will uncover themselves and other people will learn. What is this if not a learning/ teaching tool.

I agree completely. This is why I designed BuddyUP to help newer users see that we get more from encouragement and engagement than we do from the payouts.
When people see other people sharing and showing off what they enjoyed about others, people on the sidelines will start to click on.

Steemit is great and it has a system that rewards engagement, it just has both sides of the engagement coin; without a true focus on guidance.

This is why we are here, but we could use some help from them. I have unconfirmed info about the future of steemit, some fellow steemian (@dannyzen) got nosey into GitHub and found some upcoming good details.

Oh yes. That is a brilliant update about the upcoming features, thanks for that!

Good times are coming!
