I welcome you to steemit! The community is wonderful, sometimes, and as long as you do not get too political with them then it is fine. But do not worry, if someone flags something of yours, just complain and you will get a post making $200+. My best suggestion to you is to find a category (other than steemit or cryptocurrency) and talk about it then when the community builds, you are likely to be one of the pioneers and will have a lot more say over the direction of the community. Don't spam or plagiarize and you will do good! Oh and careful about SWF and NSFW topics, if you post something NSFW without the tag then people might flag you! If you have any questions about formatting then I can send you in the direction of people that can explain it and if you need any other help then just ask, most people in the community are happy to help!
