21st Century Tiputip: Cease and desist

in #held5 years ago

This is my last installment, no names mentioned. Plus what I have to do to get ten votes, even if they're downvotes, makes it worth it.

Human trafficking makes me sick. The guys from Cleveland should have been penultimate: kidnapping, raising then Impregnating missing or homeless girls, who lived around the corner. The movie was not gratuitous but disturbing. And that should have been the end.

Now they're parents throwing rocks at a window, hoping the young person trapped against their will truly is their daughter. Ridiculous.

No one took the time to call slavery what it was, kidnapping. So Jewish bondage, then trans Atlantic African bondage, became just episodes in human history. Tragic.

But human trafficking exists in the very fabric of the human fiber. Your child might be in John's Creek? No she's in Chicago, and she can't wait to come home, mommy and daddy. Or she's in LA, and you haven't seen her in three years.

We have a fascination with cinema for mature audiences. The warning peaks debauchery that what we're about to see will stimulate our senses. But thank you Lifetime, for putting things back in perspective, that nausea and uneasiness were the correct responses for what really happened and is still happening.
