Is a street food here in the Philippines. These are skewed deep fried Saba bananas with lots of sugar. Saba is a variety of banana found here in my country.
I grew up eating banana cue almost every day since it is cheap and really fulfilling. One piece of banana cue will make you full like eating an entire meal. Banana Cue with lots of sugar is very delicious. Banana cue became more delicious if you will use ripe Saba bananas because it has natural sweetness. Turning it into a banana cue using brown sugar makes it even tastier.
Saba banana is such a versatile fruit. There other sweet treats that be cooked with it such as turon, maruya., minatamis na saba, saging con yelo and many more
