Cubierta para paredes en espacios o ambientes exteriores e interiores y losas de techos.
El friso es un preparado, llamado mortero, de arena cernida y cemento que se aplica sobre paredes para cubrir las paredes y techos para vestirlos y hacerlos estéticamente presentables, corregir pequeñas imperfecciones y acondicionar la superficie para ser pintada.
El friso según su acabado final puede ser rustico, salpicado, esponjado, liso o mezclillado, siendo este ultimo mas utilizado en los ambientes interiores y en este caso se le agrega cal hidratada y la arena finamente cernida.
Cuando se frisa un tanque que va a contener agua, se le agrega un elemento hidrofugo y su acabado con una fina capa de cemento puro y se dice friso requemado.
