Oled ekran teknolojisi yarı iletken teller üzerinden geçen elektriğini foton oluşturması daha sonra bu fotolarında ekranın yayıcı tabakasına yönlendirilmesi ile görüntü elde edilmesi teknolojisidir. Tüplü televizyonlarda bu işlem gazı iyonlaştırarak yapılıyordu fakat oled teknolojisi hem daha az elektrik harcıyor hem de daha canlı ve gerçeğe yakın tonlarda renkleri yakalıyor. Günümüzde sadece televizyonlarda kullanılıyor.
