Tricycle or trike for short is another mode of transportation in the Philippines. If jeepneys are for long distance drive, a tricycle is for short distances though it can also be used on long-distance travel too, however, tricycles are not permitted on some highways.

Tricycle is a motorcycle with a sidecar. Filipinos are so creative at making a motorcycle as a mode of transportation. Tricycle serves as a source of income for many Filipinos. My father raced us using a tricycle. This is where he get our daily budget and the money to send us to school.

There is tricycle almost everywhere in the Philippines most especially in urban areas. It is the easiest way to get from place to place.

To ride a trike you just have to stand at the side of the road and raise your one hand when a trike is passing and it will automatically stop in front of you. The driver will ask you where to go and so on. You will just pay him after he delivered you where you must go.
