Death - The Circle of Life?

I seen an interesting news article recently about death, and how to explain death to children. But even as adults, we have trouble processing the thought of death, with some adults not being able to bring themselves to talk about it.

The article went on to discuss how Disney movies can be useful in starting conversations with children about death, and had 5 tips on how to talk about it:

1 - Always be calm and factual answering your children’s questions. Listen to the question, answer the question, don’t answer what they haven’t asked. Avoid phrases such as “grandma has gone to sleep” because this can make children afraid of falling asleep. Also, you haven’t “lost” grandma. Grandma is dead.
Don’t be afraid of words like death and dying – like “vagina”, them’s real words. Don’t tell children half-truths, they will make up the missing facts and those can be more damaging than the actual truth.

2 - Children tend to grieve differently to adults. They puddle jump grief – being upset about grandad in one moment and playing with Lego the next. Conversations may take place over several days, weeks, months as they get more curious. It doesn’t mean they have been fretting the whole time.

3 - Explain that it’s OK to cry, but it’s also OK not to. Grief is a journey: every member of the family may be on the same train, but everyone is looking out of a different window, with a different view.

4 - Don’t be afraid to get help if you or your children are struggling. Sometimes children don’t like to bother their adults because they are afraid of making them upset. Also, if you are not coping, it’s harder yet to support a child.

5 - Despite what the research says, don’t watch Dumbo. It’s too upsetting.

(So, apparently Dumbo is too upsetting?!)

Death is often a taboo subject even amongst some adults. Some are reluctant to talk about death, are scared of dying, scared of the unknown, and scared of losing those close to them.

Death can be a tragedy for a young life, and in some cases (depending on ones point of view) a blessing to an elderly individual who may be suffering with sickness.

I have thought about death on occasion myself, and can only conclude that; we are all dying. From the moment we are born, every day we live, is also a day less that we live...

Here at the Ecumenical Order of Christ we have also learned about the current live-die cycle on Earth, and how this cycle will end with the beginning of the New Kingdom.

The live-die cycle has been used by Satan to put Man through many tests and trials. You may not know it, but reincarnation is very real, and Man has been reincarnating on Earth for thousands of years now. Each incarnation there are valuable lessons to be learned, and each incarnation often involves hardships to some degree. Satan has been allowed to do this in such a manner, as he believes Man is unworthy of the New Kingdom, and this is his method of proving it.

On the other hand, the Heavenly forces of light, and Mans Saviour; Lord RayEl, believe Man can progress through each hardship and come out of it shining like a Diamond... after all, a Diamond is formed when the element carbon is compressed with great pressure... ;)

1 Corinthians 15:51-54 tells us the following:

51 But let me reveal to you a wonderful secret. We will not all die, but we will all be transformed! 52 It will happen in a moment, in the blink of an eye, when the last trumpet is blown. For when the trumpet sounds, those who have died will be raised to live forever. And we who are living will also be transformed. 53 For our dying bodies must be transformed into bodies that will never die; our mortal bodies must be transformed into immortal bodies.

54 Then, when our dying bodies have been transformed into bodies that will never die, this Scripture will be fulfilled:
"Death is swallowed up in victory".

Death will be no more in the New Kingdom. Souls past and present on Earth, who gain entry into the New Kingdom, will occupy new bodies. This means that the souls of the dead (the worthy ones) and the worthy souls living today, will have new bodies for the New Kingdom! Death is swallowed up in victory!

Isaiah 25:6-8 also speaks of death being swallowed up:

6 In Jerusalem,the Lord of Heaven’s Armies
will spread a wonderful feast
for all the people of the world.

It will be a delicious banquet
with clear, well-aged wine and choice meat.

7 There he will remove the cloud of gloom,
the shadow of death that hangs over the earth.

8 He will swallow up death forever!
The Sovereign Lord will wipe away all tears.
He will remove forever all insults and mockery
against his land and people.
The Lord has spoken!

It's all part of the process, for now. I think of it as one more change. If we fear change, we fear death. Everyone should have the sense to avoid death of course, but don't be overly troubled by what is not as final as it appears.

Excellent write up.

Great write-up and information! I'm so glad to know the truth about reincarnation and how the life-death cycle will be broken soon by the Father and His Son! "Them's real words" ;)

Mark 12:27 ►
He is not the God of the dead, but of the living.

Death is not the end!

That you are a diamond ...each life time stronger and stronger

The life to come is the most important yet .. the reward !
