Back into Hearthstone

sup steemit recently got back into playing hearthstone after a long break because i would ledgit rage when the RNG did not go my way, and being that I have not played since the game was brand new like the first 3 months I can not believe how advance this game have become.
Its a bit overwhelming seeing some of these deck builds I am wondering if its still possible to get to a competitive level without breaking my bank buying packs I play mostly paladin and druid BTW
