PRACTICE FORGIVENESS: Learn from Jesus

in #heartchurch4 years ago

Luke 23:33-34

There all three were crucified--Jesus on the center cross, and the two criminals on either side.
34 "Father, forgive these people," Jesus said, "for they don't know what they are doing." And the soldiers gambled for his clothing, throwing dice for each piece.

Jesus is the only true person that I have so far heard and seen forgive without considering the offense of the offender, without even taking it to heart. A father who loves so dearly and can give all for His beloved children. Jesus forgives sin no matter the kind of sin it is.
At the cross, He went through pains, suffering and hardship yet He prayed to the father to forgive us that we don't know what we are doing. What manner of love!

A father who is offended by his children may say mean things to the child or the children while he is angry and the anger will be so high that he might even harm the children but Jesus did not look at the manner of sin the world gave to Him, He did not even get angry and to add it all to our amazement, He did not curse us or say offensive things to us instead He pray to the father to forgive us and not punish us for what we did to Him.

Let's learn from Jesus, let's learn forgiveness from Him and let's not just learn, let's put it to practice.
Practice forgiveness. Forgive those that hurt you, forgive them and set yourself free from bondage of grudges and guilt.
