No, you can't make your heart's desires come true. Sometimes if we ask God he will give us the desires of our hearts if it is consistent with his will. I prayed for the lives of my unborn children but the answer was no. I prayed for the life of my first wife but she died when she was 30. It doesn't mean that God wasn't good. It meant that God had other plans.
If it were not possible, we would be saying that the word of God lies, which is impossible. That is why to make it happen you must follow the recipe to the letter, when you do this the desires of your heart will align with God's will, and all your desires will come true because you will not desire anything that God does not want to give you! that is the purpose of the recipe!
