Ghavan is a traditional breakfast recipe from Konkan region of Maharashtra. It is made up of regular Rice flour and oil. This recipe is good for breakfast and snack.

Ghavan is a traditional breakfast recipe from Konkan region of Maharashtra. It is made up of regular Rice flour and oil. This recipe is good for breakfast and snack.

Ingredients

  • Rice flour 1 cup
  • Oil 1 1/2 tbsp
  • Salt
  • 2 Cup of water

Steps

1.

Place rice flour in a bowl. Add 1½ tbsp oil and salt and mix well. Add 2 cups water slowly and stir continuously to make a smooth batter. Set aside for 10-15 minutes.

Heat a non-stick tawa and spread a little oil with a tissue paper. Pour a ladleful of batter and spread it to a thin round shape.

3.

Drizzle a little oil all around and cook till the underside is light brown. Flip over, drizzle a little oil again and cook till the other side is light brown. Similarly make more ghavan.

4.

Transfer the ghavan on a serving plate and serve hot
