We have in our backyard a Yam and a Averrhoa bilimbi tree.
I don't think the yam would yield a good tuber though because my father is a lousy farmer. While the Averrhoa bilimbi tree isn't so sensitive to poor soil conditions that it yields good fruits for adding to dishes. @dobartim
