Green Peas is popular around the world. It is used in many cuisines in many countries. Green pea is the seed of the pod from Pisum sativum plant. It belongs to the Fabaceae family and Pisum genus. The peas are either color green or yellow. In botanical classification, it is considered fruit, but considered vegetable when it comes to cooking.

Green Pea can be eaten raw or cooked. Peas can be boiled or steamed. They are commonly used in soups, pot pies, casseroles, salads and many more. In some countries, they dry the peas. They usually roast and salt the peas, then eat it as a snack. Aside from being used in different cuisines, they are also rich in nutrients and minerals that make them one of the healthy vegetables to eat around the world.
