ROMAINE LETTUCE #1
Almost everyone knows or at least familiar with Romaine Lettuce. It is a variety of lettuce with long, narrow, crisp leaves. Romaine or cos lettuce is from Lactuca sativa species. It is tolerant of heat unlike other lettuces. It is widely cultivated around the world.
Romaine lettuce is always used in Caesar salad and salad green. It can be eaten raw or cooked. It is eaten raw in vegetable salads like Caesar. It can also be eaten cooked in some soup or braised. Like other green leafy vegetables, it also has lots of nutrients and health benefits that our bodies need.
