Hello my dear friends, How are you? Meet me again I am your very own Faran Nabeel and today am again back in healthy steem community for participating in new contest that is organized by @suboohi for all of us. In which my contest i will discuss about osteoporosis. So stay in touch with me.
Osteoporosis, it is a disease that makes our bones weak and easy to break. It will happens when the body loses too much bones or doesn't heal enough new bones. Bones become the thin and fragile, which can increases the risk of fractures, especially in the hips bones, spine, and in wrists.
There are some common causes of it, include the aging, especially in the women after menopause, and the lack of calcium and vitamin D, and not being physically active, and the another cause of it is smoking and using too much alcohol, and certain the medical conditions or medications that's can affects bone health.
Osteoporosis is like a “silent disease” because there are no any clear signs in the beginning. But some symptoms can be consider such as the pain in our backbones, the loss of height over the time, a stooped posture, and bones that break more easily than the expected. It can be diagnosed by the bone density test which checks how strong our bones are.
It is also have some treatments such as, the taking medicines that helps us to build or maintain our bone mass, increasing the calcium and vitamin D in our daily diet, and doing weight-bearing exercises daily. Prevention involves the eating healthy, staying active, avoiding from smoking and alcohol, and regular check-ups after the age of 40. And we know that with the right care, we can reduce the risk and live a healthy life even with the osteoporosis.
