Oh I am so happy it was not a human intruder.

That is the largest, most beautiful cicada I have ever seen! My brother would catch them by the tens and 20's when we were growing up. LOL

    I don't remember the one that we saw being as colorful but we weren't really looking. LOL I was actually able to appreciate it better after seeing the one in the photo, but at the time I kept imagining some kind of large carnivorous insect that was out to get our babies :D
