Traditional Chinese Medicine Teaches You How to Scientifically Lose Weight

Losing weight is actually about expelling the accumulated turbid substances and waste from the body, ensuring smooth flow of qi and blood so that the body stays in good shape. However, many people end up losing essential substances like body protein, and instead of slimming down, they harm their qi and blood through dieting and excessive exercise.

Below are some methods I have been using, based on traditional Chinese massage, for weight loss:

I. Slimming the abdomen

1.Lie flat on the bed, overlap your hands lightly on the navel, and first rub clockwise and then counterclockwise for 10 minutes each day. After rubbing, use the base of your palm to push from the heart area to the navel 100 times to expel the turbid substances from the abdomen.

2.With clenched fists, push from the sides of the body towards the area below the navel for 5-10 minutes each time to expel dampness.

II. Slimming the arms

Raise your arms and pinch the excess flesh under the armpits. You'll feel soft bubbles there. Pinch and knead from the armpits to the elbows, spending extra time whenever possible.

III. Slimming the thighs

1.For the inner thighs, use the base of your palm to push from the inner thigh root to the knee for 10-15 minutes every day. This can help relieve emotions. You'll find yourself in a better mood and sleeping more soundly after a period of persistence.

2.For the outer thighs, use clenched fists to tap along the outer seam of the thighs for 10-15 minutes every day with moderate force until the thighs feel slightly warm.

3.Kneel on a mat or bed and walk back and forth for 10-15 minutes daily. This method exercises the meridians associated with thick thighs, bringing qi and blood down.

4.Grasp the flesh on the back of the thighs and knead repeatedly, or pat the back of the thighs for 10-15 minutes each time.

IV. Push the inner calves from the knee to the ankle for 5-10 minutes each time. Also, avoid sitting for long periods and try to stand up and move around more often.

V. Slimming the back

(Back tapping + knee hugging) Back fat is often associated with poor bladder meridian flow. It can be cleared through scraping, tapping, spine kneading, and back massages.

In the morning, lie on your back on the bed, hug one leg towards your chest for 3-5 minutes, then switch to the other leg. This helps with digestion and can also stretch the back muscles. Just go try it!
