There is no recourse, but I kind of blame steemit too. Their policies allowed these immature fools 'whale' status! This is one of the problems that damaged steemit in the first place.
This is the framework on the back entrance porch on the homestead, after we removed all the bad wood:
We rebuilt it with recycled wood today, and this is how it came out:
The real cost of this porch repair, was about $0.25 for nails! We now have safe entry, and we started working on the floor rebuild. The angle on the porch is deliberate to allow water to run off quickly, away from the main structure!
We moved about half a ton of construction supplies today, and started inspecting the floor framework we will need to repair. I was surprised to find the framework is in better shape than was expected!

I did see something like this on essence notification. It would not open though. That was the account where the whale logo was.
