Hello, @Vincentnijman
I'll affirm to the benefits of writing, you listed out.
Before I became a writer, I had always thought writing is only for those who can write a line of sentence without making grammatical or spelling mistake and I thought; considering myself graduating from science class at high school. But then I love to write most especially prose and poem. At the end, I had to tell myself that irrespective of being a science graduant, I can still write.
Now I'm proud to say I took the decision of writing daily and I can't outsize it benefits. At the moment, I have written a book whose manuscript is yet to be published. It titled "Ecstasies Through Challenges" i'm an introvert but through writing, I easily splodge my frustration and joy. Honestly, writing is a therapy.
Great post, mate. A lot of this rings very true for me as well. Being able to connect with someone through their writing brings people together. When I was away, I didn't write for a month and it took me a while to get back into it. Not writing can be paralysing and it is detrimental to ourselves to allow a stupid mindset to trap us through writer's paralysis.
I upvoted and sank my teeth into this post and Ill be spending more time looking at your other work.
Much appreciated. I see you're vegan, so I'm not sure if you wanna sink your teeth in the writing I posted today ;) but I'm sure you find something to your liking if you read between the lines.
I have had my phases of writing vs. not writing, creating vs. not creating, filmmaking vs. not filmmaking and so on. And, although I sometimes really need to take some time off, I know that there's one thing I should never do and that is to try and lock away my creativity. That would make me literally and figuratively insane.
Cheers for all the kind words and let's stay in touch.
