GET ENOUGH SLEEP

Wanna share something vital but different today on my blog. It's about sleep.
Yeah, I know I'm a workaholic and all but the place of rest in one's life should not be taken with levity.
According to medical experts, the amount of sleep needed varies from person to person, and age to age.
Most newborns sleep for 16 to 18 hours a day, toddlers about 14 hours, and preschoolers about 11 or 12 hours.
Children of school age generally need at least 10 hours, adolescents perhaps 9 or 10 hours, and adults, from 7 to 8 hours.
It is pertinent that we know that the amount of sleep reduces as we get older, but adults fail to get enough sleep due to anxiety about their careers, jobs, businesses, family, money, exams, etc.
Getting the right amount of sleep should not be considered optional. Sufficient sleep is important for:
*Growth and development
*Learning and retention of new information
*Maintaining the right balance of the hormones that impact metabolism and weight.
*Disease prevention
*And many others.
Obesity, depression, high blood pressure, heart disease, diabetes and tragic accidents can be linked to insufficient sleep. Surely, these give us good reasons to crave adequate rest.
If you realise you have trouble getting enough rest, try the following suggestions :
*Try to go to bed and get up at the same time everyday (pray this works)
*Relax your mind
*Make your sleeping environment conditioned for a relaxing shuteye (warm, dark, quiet, cozy)
*Make your bed as comfy as possible
*Do not watch TV or use gadgets while in bed.
*Avoid heavy meals before bed
*I beg you to stay of CAFFEINE
Jesus, while going about His Father's business here on earth still had times when He had to sleep (Matt 8:24) but still accomplished the task before Him.
