A teenager who dies if he sleeps

Liam was born with Ondine's Curse disease, which is known as congenital syndrome, leading to a reduction in central ventilation, resulting in stopping breathing, because if the patient does not sleep, his lungs do not work.

Less than 1,500 people in the world are suffering from the disease, which means that this 17-year-old should be connected to a life support device, and one person should look after her all night to stay alive. After the birth, doctors said they would only be six weeks old, but he will be 18 this year.

Peter and Kim, Liam's parents are at the heart of his care team and control him with GPS equipment around the clock. Liam is dependent on the device to breathe, and without it, he does not live.
