Essential Oils Have Many Awesome Uses

Did you know that the ancient Egyptians were probably the first folks to use essential oils? How cool is that? Way back then I expect that most of the Essential oils were reserved for the rich folks, but now they are more popular than ever before.
Essential oils have many awesome uses such as aromatherapy, healing, household cleaners and even beauty products. Did you know that they are not really oils? Essential oils are obtained by the distillation of whole, or select parts of a plant, including flowers, leaves, bark, root, resin, and peel. Long ago essential oils were made by soaking the chosen plant in a carrier oil and then straining it through a linen bag or cloth.
Essential oils are packed with strong antioxidant, antimicrobial, and anti-inflammatory properties. In this article, I will give you some cool way's to use essential oils in your everyday life. Carefully read each of them in order to use the maximum of these gifts of nature.

Spa and Relaxation

  1. Detox bath -- Add lavender oil, Epsom salts, and sea salt to your warm bath. This will purify and rejuvenate your body.
  2. Lip balm -- When combined together, coconut oil, beeswax, and lavender oil create an amazing healing balm. It is especially good for chapped lips.
  3. Massage -- Combine a few drops of cedarwood or lavender oil and unscented lotion. Use it during a massage therapy.
  4. Get rid of depression -- Add rose oil to your bath, inhalations or diffusers to boost your mood and relieve depression.
  5. Yoga and pilates -- Inhale lavender or sandalwood before your yoga or meditation class. Use clove and citrus essential oil to clean your yoga mat.
    Household Cleaning and Home
  6. Keep your kitchen smelling nice -- Put some clove, cinnamon or citrus essential oil into a simmering pan of water. This will eliminate any cooking odors.
  7. Purify fridge -- Freshen up your fridge or freezer. Add some lime, grapefruit or bergamot oil to the water you use for cleaning your fridge.
  8. Get rid of smoke -- Eliminate the cigarette smoke by putting 4 drops of rosemary, tea tree and eucalyptus oil into a Diffuser. Run diffuser for 4-6 hours.
  9. Clean dishes -- Add some lemon oil to your dishwasher before using it. This will provide a spot-free rinse.
  10. Freshen your trashcan -- Put 2 drops of lemon oil and tea tree oil on a cotton ball. Place it at the bottom of the trashcan. This will help you decrease odors and detoxify your trashcan.
    Skin and Beauty
  11. Reduce wrinkles -- Add 3-5 drops of sandalwood, geranium, lavender, and frankincense oil to some coconut oil. Apply it on your face. Avoid the area around your eyes.
  12. Thicken your hair -- Add rosemary oil to your shampoo to thicken your hair and increase its volume.
  13. Body spray -- 5-10 drops of essential oil are enough for 4 ounces of water.
  14. Homemade toothpaste -- Make your own remineralizing toothpaste using sea salt, baking soda, coconut oil, xylitol, and peppermint essential oil. Brush your teeth.
  15. Natural perfume -- Apply 1-2 drops of jasmine essential oil on your wrist. Many women also prefer the smell of lavender and vanilla. Men often choose cypress and clove essential oil.
