Lymph Fluid Needs Our Help to Keep us Healthy on the Inside

Lymph fluid is our internal body flush.

It’s not just environmental toxins and the aging process that cause lymph fluid to gel, thereby crippling our immune system with more toxic waste than can be removed. Two leading causes of lymphatic congestion are POOR DIET and INACTIVITY!

Here’s why:

A) DIET – Too much nutrient deficient foods cause excess waste beyond what can be effectively eliminated. Food that is not eliminated putrefies, becomes toxic and leads to all kinds of ailments, even potential death.

Today’s culinary trend of fatty foods, processed foods, refined foods and fast-food fare means that a significant part of our daily diet is comprised of foods that clog our system rather than cleanse our system. Unwittingly perhaps, we are doing the exact opposite to what our defense mechanism needs of us.

B) INACTIVITY – Unlike blood, which gets pumped throughout our body by our heart, lymph fluid has no internal means of propulsion. It can move about fairly easily, but it still needs our help to keep our internal organs and passageways well flushed and cleansed.

Clearly, a sedentary lifestyle is detrimental to our lymphatic system. As we move, so does our lymph fluid. Therefore, the health of our lymph fluid, which determines the capability of our immune system, and consequently our ability to fend off maladies ranging from the common cold to cancerous tumors, is dependent upon us engaging in daily physical activity.

You’ll be relieved to know that you don’t need to become an Olympic marathoner to stimulate the flow of lymph fluid. Even MODERATE physical activity does the trick.

To the Rescue

Quite literally, if you can fog a mirror with your breath, there is encouraging news for you. First, it would appear that you are alive. Second, you have the means to improve your health from the inside out.

The good news about our lymphatic system is that what causes its life-threatening ineffectiveness is also, it seems, part of the remedy to maintaining the healthy cleansing ability of lymph fluid.

One method of keeping our lymph fluid at cleansing peak performance, unfortunately, is much like what they say about Buckley’s Cough Mixture in those commercials. To paraphrase, it works, but in this instance, it can be somewhat unpleasant.

Of course, I’m referring to the first of four remedial options:

COLON HYDROTHERAPY – This is a high enema process whereby the colon is rinsed via a controlled flow of filtered water, helping to release stored toxins throughout our body.

Unless you have a diagnosed medical condition that can be relieved or remedied by an enema under a doctor’s supervision, there may be more pleasant ways to keep lymph fluid transporting and cleansing efficiently, such as:

ACTIVITY – Even MODERATE daily physical activity helps to stimulate the flow of lymph fluid. When we sit or lay down, our lymph fluid becomes mostly stagnate. A good night’s sleep is not harmful to lymph fluid. It takes more than that. A sedentary lifestyle, or when inactivity becomes the norm, is about the worst thing you can do to your inner health systems. Lymph fluid tends to mimic our activity level. An energized, active lifestyle promotes a corresponding rapid flow of lymph fluid, enabling the eliminative process to keep us clear of harmful free radicals.

Lymph fluid also reacts to inactivity. When we are mostly sedentary, unbeknownst to us because we can’t feel it, our lymph fluid can slow to a near stop. Toxins that would normally be destroyed and removed are given time to resist our immune system by morphing into fast-spreading diseased cells.

Unless you are asthmatic, keeping our lymph fluid at peak cleansing performance can be as easy as doing:

DEEP BREATHING EXERCISES – As remarkable as it sounds, taking deep breaths is akin to exercising your lymph fluid. I don’t mean the odd deep breath or two. Rather, a daily intermittent series of deep breaths.

Any aerobic physical activity will do it, but deep breathing can be done while sitting before the television or while riding in your car. How’s that for easy and convenient?

Here’s how to deep breathe effectively: Draw a breath from as deep in your abdomen as possible, keeping your inhaling to within a count of three to start. Next, hold that breath for a count of 12, then exhale slowly and deliberately for a count of six. (The ratio is 1:4:2).

If that’s too much for you as a starting point, then inhale for a count of two, hold for a count of eight and exhale for a count of four. Don’t be surprised to find that the day will come when you can actually inhale for a count of five, hold that breath for a count of 20 and exhale for a count of 10. Always keep the ratio the same. It’s absolutely amazing how this easy exercise alone can make you feel so energized and so alive.

It seems that deep breathing oxygenates the bloodstream and lymphatic system, thereby providing our cells with sustenance in the form of oxygen. This may help to explain an interesting statistic.

Three out of every 10 North Americans become afflicted with some form of cancer. But did you know that Olympic athletes or professional athletes tend to fare much better? Only one in seven of these highly active people contract cancer.

The answer seems to be that their activity causes them to breathe deeply often and sometimes over an extended period of time. A distance runner may have elevated breathing for a considerable time whereas a basketball player may experience short bursts of deep breaths.

Regardless, athletes, more than the average person, stimulate the movement of lymph fluid with their high level of activity, significantly lowering the incidences of cancer among athletes between the ages of 19 to 40 when compared to the general population within the same age bracket.

I am well beyond my athletic days, but, fortunately, there is still a fun way to activate our lymph fluid. That fun activity is called:

LAUGHTER – I’m not joking. Laughter solves a lot of ills, a healthy lymphatic system among them, so it seems. I’m not talking about the occasional snicker or guffaw. Whatever makes you laugh uproariously, perhaps your favorite comedian or television show, needs to become a regular part of your day.

A good deep-rooted laugh also serves to oxygenate your bloodstream and lymphatic system. Could becoming healthy be any more fun?

A recent study out of the University of Maryland School of Medicine shows laughter helps blood vessels to function better. In the study, a group of people was shown laughter-provoking movies, while another group was shown movies that provoked mental stress or duress.

“Laughter appears to cause the tissue that forms the inner lining of blood vessels, the endothelium, to dilate or expand in order to increase blood flow,” reports Dr. Michael Miller, the lead researcher.

The study group who viewed movies that caused mental stress had the opposite internal reaction. Their blood vessels contracted, reducing their blood flow. Says Dr. Miller, “Thirty minutes of exercise three times a week and 15 minutes of laughter on a daily basis appears to be good for the vascular system.” A good vascular system is synonymous with a healthy lymphatic system. So go ahead and laugh your way to excellent inner health!

Admittedly, colon hydrotherapy may be effective and the quickest way to detoxify and stimulate lymph fluid movement. But may I respectfully suggest remedies #2, #3 and #4, in unison, as a more pleasant and long-term means of ensuring a much healthier you on the inside?

Your critically important lymph fluid may still be out of sight, but never again let it be out of mind. It’s too important to your health.

This applies to both sexes)

4 ways to energetic your lymphatic device:

motion
Deep diaphragmatic respiratory
Rebounding
Dry skin brushing or effleurage
those steps along with consuming complete, natural food and ingesting pure water can greatly affect the efficiency of your lymph system.

@tanata you have put a wonderful effort by posting such wonderful article for our health care...this is very important and essential part of life to which we have to look close..
I love the gifs thanks you mentioned at the bottom.it is so cute representation.

Very attractive and mind blowing post. Thanks allot to explain such an important subject of our life. We all are ignorant about our health because of the long hours usage of cell phones and other means of communication equipment and sitting for long hours. We must have a daily walk and some physical activities to run our body to have healthy life. Thanks for your important post.

quiet informative, well i would like to say, We have three times more lymphatic than we do blood, and our lymphatic system does not have a pump, like our heart, which conducts our circulatory system. That means we need to rely on other ways to move the lymphatic fluid through our body to keep us healthy...

You seem like a biology student

I thought the same) But it's wonderful!

I think its the 2nd most important thing in our body after the blood, it keepz us healthy, keep sharing such posts, thankyou, and laughter is really the solution for everything
