The Vital Connections Between Water and Good Health.
Hi friends/Steemians,
Welcome back to my blog page and today I am sharing with you water and good health: How they are interconnected.
For a better understanding of the essential connection between water and good health: I will be looking at two common conditions below.

ARTHRITIS
At some point in life almost everyone is affected by arthritis or neck and back pain. Back or neck pain may be cause by disks wearing out due to inadequate fluid within the disk. Reference from Dr. Colbert, MD.
Our backs have disks between the vertebral bones that are made up of a fibrous material called the annulus fibrous. This is filled with a jelly like substance called nucleus pulposus.
As much as 75 percent of the weight of our upper body is supported by the nucleus pulposus, which is the fluid inside that disk. Only 25 percent of the weight of our upper body is supported by anulus fibrous. Therefore, when our disks become dehydrated they are more prone to herniate and develop degenerative disk disease or arthritis.
It's similar to driving a car on a nearly flat tire. Over time the tire is going to wear out and perhaps even blow. It is the same with your disks. If you stay in a state of dehydration for a significant period of time, you are heading for a serious breakdown.
Cartilage provides the smooth surface so that joints can glide easily during movement. Cartilage is about five times slicker than ice, and cartilage is about 80 percent water. As long as the cartilage is well hydrated, there is minimal frictional forces, and joint will remain healthy.
However, if the cartilage is dehydrated, there will be increased frictional forces and thus more damage to the cartilage, leading to arthritis.

Avoiding arthritis conditions is just one of the important reasons to drink two quarts of water every day. It's a preventive medicine.
HIGH BLOOD PRESSURE
Earlier we indicated that that the body rations water to make certain the vital organs (the brain, heart, kidney, liver and lungs) receive it first. However, when that happens, the flow of water may be constricted to other areas of the body in order to pump blood to these vital areas first.
What is the result? Your arteries may eventually become constructed, driving your blood pressure up.
I am sure you have noticed that when you constrict a water hose, it actually increases the water pressure. That's similar to how our arteries behave.
Simply by increasing our intake of water, we help to open up our arteries, thus preventing a rise in blood pressure.
When a person has high blood pressure, he or she is given medication to open up or dilate these vital passageways. I am convince that beat treatment available is water.
If high blood pressure is detected early enough, drinking two to three quarts of water a day reduce the pressure to normal.
However is some cases where the high blood pressure has progress to the point where kidney suffers, drinking such water can result into swelling.

I always like to drink a large glass of water with some lemon juice in the morning just to rehydrate after a nights sleep. It's almost better than coffee to get your brain working.
Fantastic advice. I am going to start just like you every morning.
