in #health6 years ago (edited)

Dear Readers,

Welcome back to the world best inspirational, motivational, and Godly blog page. And I am sharing today: Big Benefits From Tiny Minerals with special attention to ZINC.

In my last Big Benefits From Tiny Minerals, I wrote extensively about Iron. Here is the link, if you like to check it out.
All this minerals may only be needed in small amounts or quantities in the body everyday, yet they are so vital to many chemical processes in the body.

ZINC

Zinc is important to the formation of many enzymes in the body. It is also critical for supporting the immune system, fostering the insulin function and for the male sex organ.
The explanation behind Insulin function especially male sex organ is a topic for another day because of the wider the topic is. I won't be taking about this today in other not to waver from the topic of the day being Zinc.

However, we need 30 milligrams of Zinc a day, yet the average person consumes only 10 milligrams which is not enough.

But Zinc should be balanced with Copper. We also need to know that Zinc and Copper antagonized each other, if we take a lot of Zinc, we will reduce the copper in our body, and which can be very harmful to the body.

I will be writing extensively about copper in my next medical research post. And in addition to the above mentioned, Zinc, copper and manganese are part of one of the most potent antioxidant enzymes in our body called super oxide dismutase (SOD).

It is important to have adequate zinc, manganese and copper on a daily basis to assure adequate amounts of SOD.

SOD then helps prevent damage to our cell membranes and our mitochondria membranes.
