Even if it would be illusory to think that diet alone can end cancer, you already know that a balanced diet is a crucial weapon in the fight against cancer. Omega 3, selenium and folic acid are often cited for their positive effects on the unit system. Do you know where to find them?

1. Fatty fish

The oil in the fish is rich in long-chain fatty acid from the group of omega-3, a potent anti-inflammatory. Omega 3 has been shown to extend telomeres (the tip of your DNA's chromosomes), which shorten when you have cancer, compromising the structure of DNA and reducing longevity. Please note that omega 3 fatty acids from flax seed are short chain (not long) fatty acids. They are equally important but their benefits are different (for example, they help to oxygenate the tissues and provide essential fibers).
Fatty fish also contain vitamin A, an important vitamin in the fight against cancer (herring, mackerel and salmon are perfect examples). Thus, consuming fatty fish allows you to reduce the risk of prostate, breast and colon cancer. In addition, researchers have shown that fatty fish help prevent cachet, a side effect of chemotherapy treatments. You will also find some vitamin D, another anti-cancer vitamin.

2. Carrots

Carotenoids are known for their benefits against cancer. A glass of carrot juice, two sweet potatoes, sixteen dried apricots or four glasses of red cherries each will offer 25 mg of carotenoids. Here is an excellent juice to make yourself:
carrots, for carotenoids. Raw carrots are also rich in pectins, healthy intestinal bacteria that will benefit you very much.
of apples, for quercetin (excellent antioxidant)
of beet, for anthocyanins (also very good anti-oxidant)
a little raw ginger

3. Red and yellow peppers

This is an excellent source of vitamin C. Vitamin C strengthens your immune cells and neutralizes toxins. Linus Pauling, the famous Nobel laureate of American chemistry, said that cancer patients had to consume 2 to 10 g of vitamin C per day. A large red pepper contains about 250 mg of vitamin C, 200 g of raw broccoli contain 175 mg, 150 g of papaya have 90 mg and an orange contains 65 mg. Berries and cherries are also excellent sources of this vitamin. On the other hand, red and yellow peppers provide carotenoids like carotenoids, which, as we have just seen, are indicated against cancer.

4. Sunflower seeds

They are rich in zinc and natural vitamin E. Zinc helps vitamin C do its job and accelerates healing time. It is also important to have a healthy prostate. You need 15 to 25 mg of zinc per day. Five tablespoons of sunflower seeds give you 10 mg. Even better: the oysters. You only need three oysters to reach the recommended amount of zinc. Be careful: milk can block the absorption of zinc. In addition, sunflower seeds are also a good source of selenium. This trace element known for its antioxidant and anti-cancer virtues, is not manufactured by your body.
Sunflower seeds can be mixed with your morning muesli. Five tablespoons each will provide 20 mg of vitamin E, which works against cancer by inhibiting the growth of cancer cells and protecting immune cells against free radicals. In short, vitamin E boosts your immune system. The goal is 300-600 mg per day and is difficult to achieve without supplements. Green vegetables, soy and almonds are also good sources to consider.

5. Nuts

Six nuts from Brazil will allow you to reach the required daily dose of selenium, ie 100 to 200 mg. Selenium is a very potent anti-cancer agent. Eight slices of wholemeal bread, an egg from organic farming, or a large chicken breast will also do the trick. Tuna, onions, broccoli and tomatoes also contain selenium. Several studies have shown that people who eat nuts every day (such as almonds and nuts) live longer.

6. Mushrooms

The so-called "medicinal" fungi, such as Shiitake and Maiitake, strengthen the immune system and fight against cancer. Even mushrooms in Paris possess ingredients fighting against cancer.
