Europeans are prone to death. They consume 20% more alcohol than Americans.
The average European drinks between one and four alcoholic drinks a day. It is already classifying it into a group with an increased likelihood of cancer, says a report from the European Gastroenterology Society.
The Expert Group analyzed data published by the World Health Organization. Europeans ranked first in the ranking of drinking alcoholic beverages. On average, they drink about 11.2 liters of pure alcohol a year, which is about two glasses a day, according to Bloomberg. "Glass" means either a 0,3 l of the beer or 1.5 dcl of wine or a hard alcohol drink (40ml).
So what does it say about myself? I'm an avid alcoholic (but just one or two week in month) :-). In the Czech republic, every 2nd is an alcoholic. Right?
