@bala41288 - what @sathyasankar said is correct as sugar concentrate by virtue of being that is kind of immune to bacteria/enzymes which ultimately cause things to go bad. So Honey can virtually remain edible even after long period of time.

However - Just because something is edible does not necessarily mean that it is palatable by a human.
