Incredible--if this is true, it's so inspiring. There are, however, many options for those who are blind/visually impaired/etc. to be able to "see" their surroundings, such as these glasses for blind people from OrCam. Essentially they are glasses for the blind to see, and help with blind accessibility so that they can recognize their surroundings, money, faces, etc. using AI technology. Definitely worth looking into!
