Thank you for sharing this @bluestsky !! I think it is great do find healthier alternatives to the usual comfort foods and indeed, we have to get creative and incorporate more veggies that provide us with our nutritional necessities. Most of us eat their veggies last so it is quite the exercise to change our life long conditioning to go for the other foods first! Also, veggies are great for fighting inflammation in our bodies and save us from most of the nastiest self induces diseases out there. Starting from the most common flu to diabetes, insulin spikes, mood swings, libido drop, heart diseases, asthma and brain degenerative affections. Thanks so much for your encouragement and thoughts. You are absolutely right, veggies can save us from minor to very serious harm to the body, and they are fundamental for overall health.
