Our ears are the doors for sound to enter into our body but also many microbes and dirt can enter also. Many people use cotton sticks clean accumulated earwax. The latest clinical guides suggest this is highly dangerous and should be avoided.
Wax is a secretion of the body designed to protect, lubricate and clean the ear canal. The renewal of the corneal corneum of the ear canal combined with the movement of the lower jaw provides a gradual removal of the earwax outwardly. Due to the anatomical and physiological characteristics of the ear canal in some people and more often in children, accumulation of more earwax occurs. The ear has a self-cleaning mechanism and most people to not need to clean the ear canal.
To clean the external auditory passage, some people use cotton sticks (swabs). But the conclusions of the academics of the research state that such a practice is unacceptable. Abstaining from excessive washing and cleaning of the ears with foreign aids is recommended, as this can cause canal irritation, infection, and compensation of auditory bones. I have done this since I was 14, I now get a lot of really bad ear infections, I have cut then down from everyday to once a week

I don't use them so I guess am lucky that way. Lol
Shoving it back in doesn't clean it out. Funny how common sense is not so common. Whoever called it common is hiding somewhere and giggling.
