Crooked Teeth

Why do people’s teeth get crooked? There are a few reasons, and I will only expand on one of them. Teeth can become crooked mainly from fetus development, injuries from childhood development, and—most of all—from foreign items lodged between the teeth.

Foreign items lodged between the teeth will have little effect on people who have large spaces between their teeth. For people with less space between the teeth, most of these foreign items are from the foods they eat and even plaque.

Did you have braces? Yes? Then you may also remember some of the first steps an orthodontist takes before putting pieces of metal over your teeth—they use “spacers” to create a space between your back molars. These spacers not only push the back teeth apart from each other; they also push nearby teeth away. Foreign items are not just lodged between your back teeth; they are also lodged between other areas of your teeth. Just look in the mirror after eating, you may even need to floss and observe the materials that you pull out, and you will quickly find out which teeth (and neighboring teeth) will be affected and moved the most from your eating habits.

Here are some of the most offending items that cause your teeth to become crooked…

  1. Animal cartilage: for those of you who haven’t gotten chicken or cow cartilage stuck in between your teeth, you are lucky! The large pieces can be very painful and cause immediate bleeding. This happens. Smaller pieces of cartilage are less painful, and many times are painless; however, they still make micro-changes in the teeth’s position over time.
  2. Animal flesh. Did your parents tell you to chew really well? I have news for you: chewing animal flesh does not break down the animal flesh so it will be digested better. This is because digestion of proteins does not start in the mouth. Furthermore, the complex proteins of animal flesh are barely enough to even become liquefied and absorbed into your blood stream anyways. (Spoiler alert: you do not liquefy meat and, therefore, you do not assimilate it.)
  3. Hard vegetables (such as carrots) and their fibrous elements. This also includes the rinds of fruits such as cucumbers (which are a melon), the skin of apples, etc.
  4. Starches—especially rice, pasta, potatoes, etc. Starches are sneaky, because they get stuck between your teeth easily. Luckily, a lot of these starches form like a soft glue and do take the shape of your teeth, which can have less of an effect of moving the teeth.

These micro-movements may be a very small measurement. These small measurements add up to a much larger, and noticeable difference, over time!

What foods affect the position of your teeth the least? These foods will preserve your straight teeth, or prevent your teeth from becoming more crooked!

  1. Water, juices, and anything liquid.
  2. The flesh of juicy fruits. The flesh excludes the outer skin—i.e. skin of an apple, skin of cucumbers, the rind of lemon, etc.
  3. Any fruit that you can pinch and squish gently with your fingers :)

It is my wish to serve you with these words!

Some info about me: I've been involved with Bitcoin since 2010. By trade I am an expert on blockchain technology. I am the Project Director for Wall of Coins, and CEO for Genitrust, Inc. I eat primarily fruits and leafy greens ("fruitarian"). This is known as a frugivorous diet, which is the diet by design of the human species and most primates. I don't cook my fruits, so you may also call this "raw vegan". I have eaten virtually every food item and major cultural style on this planet. I have experienced long periods of many different diet regimens: acid/alkaline, ketogenic, vegan, etc. In my spare time as a child, and an adult, I truly relished reading articles, books, and research papers on nutritional observation. I also enjoy and frequently practice long periods of juice fasting, water fasting, and dry fasting.
