yeah you are right. Many studies have shown that excessive dieting lead to mental exhaustion and over eating leading to gaining of more weight. Best way to control weight is to calculate your daily calorie requirement according to the weight reduction target and add things to your diet based on the calorie allowance for the particular meal.

There are many applications online and for mobile devices that can help you do these calculations.

I would be so glad to help with calculations if anybody wants a diet plan.
