Air pollution has started developing diabetes in people
Diabetes has recently become one of the widespread disease in world. Number of people suffering from diabetes are increasing day by day. The modern lifestyle, food habits and environment are playing a crucial role in promoting diabetes.
Diabetes is a group of metabolic disorders in which there are high blood sugar levels over a prolonged period. Recent studies tell that air pollution has become a significant contributor in developing diabetes in human body.
A study conducted by researchers at USA's Washington university has found that air pollution leads to a drastic increased risk of diabetes. The harmful Microparticles present in the air is inhibiting the production of insulin inside the body. Decrease of insulin is nothing but getting the disease.
Insulin decrease inside the body decrease the process of conversion of glucose into energy.
Air pollution is everywhere and the shocking thing is that Delhi has five times more air pollution than US.
Cautionary measure are to be taken by people to stay away from it. Health should be the first priority compared to wealth.
Preventive methods :
1)Never settle in highly polluted areas.
2) Use surgical mask while visiting polluted areas. If not handkerchief should be used as a mask.
3). Don't be a contributor of air pollution i.e, burning crackers or plastics. The harm reflects to you.

Diabetes is a serious complex condition which can affect the entire body. Diabetes requires daily self care and if complications develop.
