8 Ways to Increase Your Energy!!!

Hey guys, I'm gonna do a quick post focusing on 8 different ways to increase your energy. Lets get to it...

Number 1 Exercise. Movement will get the blood flowing throughout the body. Exercise creates Piezoelectricity in the body. Piezoelectricity is the ability to generate an electric charge in response to applied mechanical stress. Exercise and movement are also known to beat depression and lift mood. A brisk 10 minute walk will have lasted effects on the body for approximately 2 hours. And who knows, one day in the future Piezoelectricity produced from the body could soon become the leading power behind everything from smartphones to personal medical devices.

Number 2 Get High Quality Sleep. There are two phases in the body...the awake state and the sleep state. Being active and awake is catabolic on the body- it breaks it down. Sleep is anabolic- it repairs, grows and develops. Quality sleep will rebalance the body's hormones and will leave you feeling rejuvenated. Power naps can also help, especially if you are feeling mentally fatigued.

Number 3 Clean Digestive Tract. The body spends lots of energy digesting food. Avoid overeating and eat foods that are dense with nutrients. Also avoid eating too many sweets which result in a blood sugar spike. Sugar spikes give an initial burst of energy, however, this is followed by a rapid drop in blood sugar leaving you feeling wiped out.

Number 4 Stay Hydrated. Being slightly dehydrated will lower energy levels and affect mood. Drink water before you feel thirsty, and stay away from sugary drinks and sodas.

Number 5 Reduce Stress. Stress is the result of anxiety and anxiety uses up a whole lot of energy. Beat anxiety by listening to soothing music, reading a book, talking on the phone, or exercising.

Number 6 Caffeine. Natural sources of caffeine can help give you a quick jolt. Stick to natural sources such as coffee and green tea. If you can handle it, try drinking coffee black to avoid unnecessary calories via sugar and creamers. Avoid caffeine pills, powders, energy drinks and soda. Quick tip...avoid caffeine consumption roughly 6-8 hours before bedtime so that it does not interfere with getting a quality night's rest.

Number 7 Meditate. Deep breathing allows more oxygen to flow throughout the body. When we are stressed or in a rush, we tend to breath more shallow breaths. Try meditating daily. 5, 10, or 20 minutes of meditation will invigorate your body and mind.

Number 8 Check Your Thyroid. If you are constantly low on energy even after a good night's sleep, you may have an underactive thyroid. Have your doctor check your blood work for thyroid dysfunction as well as anemia. This can be a particular problem for women.

Great advise! Been eating just fruits for 6 weeks now and intent to stick to it! Fruits, berries and melon will clean your clogged lymphatic system. You will feel great!!! ;-)

That's pretty cool. I don't think I know anyone strictly on a fruit diet. Keep us updated. Berries are super healthy. I try to eat them just about everyday. Thanks for sharing!
