A great post.
and one massive other thing - carb rich diets promotes excess candida - Causes all sort of natural imbalances - we are not designed to each much carbs.- at all.

I eat lots of saturated fats (olive oil and pork fat) real butter, cheese, occasionally yogurt
less the 50 grams of carbs a day - and only through fresh vegetables .
( 3 slices of bread - a week - which is seriously difficult - for me)
(no fizzy drinks or anything - no aspartame)
Alcohol - whisky and water.
no fast food, no poly fats - different reasons than for gut health, but good health all round)
All our cells are surrounded by saturated fats - every single cell -
Tell me again why we eat polyunsaturated fats? - exactly (the answer is crisco sales - marketing vegetable fats in the 1900's)

Since starting this diet (3yrs ago)..Zero indigestion, sleep good every night - wake up fresh every day, feel 15 yrs younger, (I'm 49), no sleepiness during the days, consistent energy, no energy lulls. Concentration has improved massively.

All health starts in the gut!
