How To Prevent / Get Rid Of Smelly Feet

I personally feel this problem is mostly attributed to men than women as most ladies footwears allows ventilations into their feet. All the same, Smelly feet is mostly caused by lack of fresh air to the feet which makes the feet sweaty. There are some bacterials which feed on the feets sweat and in the process produces Isovaleric Acid causing the feet to become smelly. Smelly feets are also called stinky feets.

HOW TO PREVENT / GET RID OF SMELLY FEET.

Always Wash Your Feet Properly

It is common sense that washing your feet regularly can be a solution to smelly feet. However, many times we do not wash our feet properly as there is always tendency for us to forget washing in between our toes, either because we are in a hurry or because we do not think its neessary. To prevent or get rid of smelly feet, it is important we always wash the gaps in between our toes carefully and properlu.

Don't Rub Creams or Mosturizers on your feet

This may sound strange at first but as i made clear in the beginning of this post, smelly feet is caused by sweats on the feet which attracts bacterials. Most creams and mosturizers makes the feet sweaty considering that they stay inside the shoes for a long time. For me, i rub creams and mosturizers on my feet after i have taken my bath and about going to bed in the night to keep them nurtured, soft and avoid cracks but not when am about to wear shoes.

Always Put On Sockings

Among the many benefits of wearing sockings which includes, to warm the feet, to protect the feet against abrasion from. shoes, another major benefit of wearing sockings is that it absorbs the sweats on your feet. The sockings which is usually made of wool or cotton is able to absorb sweat on your feet leaving the feet dry. However, you must always wash your sockings and make sure they are dry before wearing them.

Take Care Of Your Shoes.

You should always take care of your shoes by either washing them regularly or keeping them out in the sun after you've wore them. Personally, i do not wash my shoes because exposing the shoes to water regularly spoils them. What i do is to put them out in the sun immediately i remove them before taking them in. Even if i came back at night, i still put them somewhere airy before taking them inside. Again, very old shoes can be a cause of smelly feets.

Wash Your Feet After Removing Shoes

Now you are back home, you should endearvour to wash your feet with clean water and soap. This is to wash away the sweat on your feet and also to wash away any bacteria on your feet. Now you are home, you can apply creams and mosturizers to your feet after washing. Again, do not forget to wash in between your toes.

And with these tips, you can prevent smelly feet or get rid of it if you have it already. Please do not use perfumes or cologne to supress the smell, it won't work rather it will make it worst.
