What is Napping?

A nap is a breif period of sleep, taken between the hours of 9:00 to 21:00 typically as an adjunctto the usual noctural sleep period.....Wiki

Naps doesn't usually exceed 20-30mins. often refer to as Siesta or Daytime sleep.

Many of us don't see napping as something tangible and productive, some see it as a waste of time.I once had an uncle, he's late now though. If you are caught napping on any day, he will whip your ass "The African Style".

Even Animals take their naps seriously more than humans in many cases. For example, how many times have you captured your pets - dogs, cats, Parrots, Bunnies even livestocks on camera taking their precious naps?

All work and no play makes Jack a dull fella is the popular saying but i say all work and no nap/rest makes you a Cybrog!

85% of Mammals are Polyphasicious- meaning through out the day they sleep for short periods of time. But humans; me, you and all Steemites excluding BOTS are Monophasicious -meaning that, out of our two distincts period in a day, we sleep one part and the other part is for Wakefulness.

Types

  • Habitual Napping: This is when your nap time is the same all days.

  • Planned Napping: Here you nap before you get that sleepy feeling. Also called Preparatory Napping.

  • Emergency Napping: This is when you nap at will, each time you suddenly feel tired/worn and can't catch up with your tasks. This is recommeded for people working with Heavy Equipments and Machinery with long distance drivers.

Benefits of Napping

  • Napping eradicates drowsiness.
  • Used in treatment of Narcolepsy.
  • Napping improves our moods.
  • It enhances our alertness.
  • It boosts our performances.
  • Napping has psychological benefits.
