Types Of Fistula
obstetric fistula (vagina and rectum)
Arteriovenous fistula (artery and vein)
Anal fistula (between the bowel and skin)
Entervaginal (happens in the vaginal)
Enterovesicular ( Bladder)
Enterocutaneous (body and skin)
Note:-fistula disorder do not only occur in the woman genital system alone but could also happen outside the genital tracks.

Cause of Fistula
Prolonged labour : This can happen as a result of prolong labour (which can last for about 3-5 days), as a result the unborn child pressing against the pelvic can result to cutting leakage.
Anal fistula : this can either be 'diverticulitis, hidradenitis supportiva or crohn's diseases'. All this are associated with the fistula that happens around the anal region which could be infection or an untreated long-term skin condition which can cause obscesse and scaring and also a long term condition in which the digestive system become inflamed.
Urogenital and cobrectal fistula : This can surface as a result of abortion, pelvic fractures, cancer or radiation therapy, abscess glands near the rectum infections.
Sexual abuse e.g rape, espisotomies after birth.
Radiation treatment
Bowel diseases like crohn's or diverticulitis
Symptoms of Fistula
arteriovenous fistula :includs swollen skin, red, and purplish blood vessels and bulging veins
Anal fistula : includes pain, swollening, discharge of blood etc
rectorvaginal fistula : foul-smelling gas, stool or pus from the vaginal
Other symptoms include :
frequent infection
diarrhea
Abdominal pain
fever
weight loss
Nausea
vomiting
Treatment of Fistula
Proper medical care and attention would deteriorate both treatable and prevention.
fistula detected early can be treated by using small tube called 'catheter ' to fix the bladder to drain urine. Most fistula condition are surgical in nature, the kind of surgery depends on the type of fistula.
The doctor may check for urinary tract infection, conduct blood test or X-ray can also be use to get a clear look for possible tissues damage. It could be laparoscopic, whereby doctor make small cut (incision) and use camera and tools or it could also be abdominal surgery where you get regular incision with a tool called 'scalpel'.
