RE: The History Of Vaccines Series

in #health7 years ago

This was a great read. Bacterial exposure to build an immunity just to cause more deaths. I consider myself very lucky when it comes to illnesses. If a good immunity was transferable through blood transfusion, all my recipients would be very lucky. I don't know if it already exists so correct me if I'm wrong, I deal with computers, it's the one language I can speak with ease. Growing up my parents made us eat oranges with every meal, we'd also have some honey before bed, a hot drink made from roots - it is the most bitter thing you could ever drink -, and I'd normally drink water or green tea to cure a headache. As you can already tell, my parents are very traditional. I'm very grateful for this cuz I never fall sick and I have an occasional cold once every 2 years in August. So if someone can develop a machine that can transfer immunity, I'll be glad to participate in that project just to understand why I'm so lucky.

Blood group O+

Sort:

I am blood group O+ as well....I had horrible reactions to my MMR given to me as and child whilst my family was stationed in Germany...my Dad was an Air Force Pilot. But I was lucky, I grew up on a farm in the Wilderness of Oregon's backcountry, good clean living playing in the wild forests most of my life. My Mom had no clue about health and food though. But my Grandma did, she had all the knowledge from my ancestors on how to grow food and eat healthy. Growing up in farming country here in America is toxic because of chemical use from herbicide and pesticide...I've been able to clean my system through detoxing and eating chemical free foods. So no matter what our age or background I think a damaged immune system can be repaired.

@nyakwada, you are blessed with a good parents, the world needs you data on good health! <3

🤸‍♀️ yay! Same blood type. I get so excited when I have something in common with someone. I didn't know that about Oregon and I'm glad you found a way to repair your system. You're lucky you grew up around your grandma, my parents moved to the city when I was so young and the trip to the island where my grandparents live takes at least 8 hours on road and 1 hour by ferry. Before they brought the ferries we had to cross the lake in engine boats. Most frightening thing for someone who can't swim.
