After my kitten got fixed she developed an infection that was swollen and red as you can see in the picture. A potato poultice is a cheap and easy way to bring down swelling and draw the infection out. Your pet will hate you at first but will love you better when they are feeling better.

What is a poultice? It is simply a compress that is applied to an affected area using a layer of mashed, moistened or heated herbs using a cloth bandage. It it then wrapped and sealed with a plastic or wool cover to radiate heat.

Below is a potato poultice. Potato draws out infection and brings down swelling. This allows the body to heal faster and naturally.

This after the third day- only applied 3 poultice for 30 min each. After the first one she was up and running .. after the second it was returning back to its normal color., and after the third full normal color returns .. still watching it and may do one more just in case .. see we have the power to heal ourselves even cats!
