What's really lurking in our everyday household products?

We’ve been talking a lot about toxicity and the dangers that are lurking in many of our everyday household products. One being our choice in laundry detergent.

Ohhh did I used to love my Tide! But omgggg it is one of the most toxic products out there. Sorry folks...it’s true ... your trusted everyday products with all the cute commercials are actually loaded with VOCs... volatile organic compounds which contain thousands of untested endocrine disrupting chemicals that make us sick.

It doesn't stop there. Everything from our soaps, shampoos, toothpaste, deodorant is loaded with harmful chemicals.

After struggling with my health and autoimmune issues ... I made the switch to safer alternatives.

The FDA does not require cosmetic companies to conduct saftey assessments on their products and harmful chemicals can be easily masked under deceptive titles like fragrance. Companies claim their fragrance formulas as "trade secret" so they don't have to specify on the label which ingredients are included. Its best to avoid fragrance unless its from a trusted source. And sorry to burst your bubble but all products sold in stores are NOT SAFE!
