This reminds me of Dr Jim Estep who was a practitioner of Ozone therapy. He was successfully treating patients but the AMA gave him a cease and desist order as it was not an approved procedure. He of course pointed it was working for his patients refusing to comply. They pressed charges resulting in him being locked up for three years.
