After going through a really Hard Time... I decided to do an EMOTIONAL DETOX!

   Last week was a real challenge for me. I helped a friend who I love dearly during a really difficult situation. Being supportive and trying to be strong was so hard, but I'm glad I could show Love when this person needed. When everything was "kind" under control, I went into survival mode and focused all my energy at work, then the weekend came, and at first, I pretended (to myself) that everything was ok, so I went to a friend's house and had a girl's night. Waking up alone on Sunday morning was when all the stress, worry, and fear came back, and I realized that I could not put it all under the rug like I always do. I needed to do something different and that's when I decided to 'turtle up' to work through my feelings and figure out what to do next. 

   After meditating and really listen to my heart, I decided to start a detox. 

   Why? Because detox gives your own body a chance to cleanse, recover and replenish, and reflecting on that, I decided to do an INNER Detox, which I'll call EMOTIONAL Detox. 

    ​Nowadays, you can get overwhelmed with so many diets and "super foods" that can get you healthier, but what about your emotions? I believe that first of all we need to understand how sadness, anxiety, low self-esteem, and all negative emotions can be a greater cause of stress and chronic diseases. We all go through challenging times in life and is how we perceive, process, and cope with these events that make ALL the difference. Overcome the emotional challenge and switch up how you choose to react to every event is the key to a better overcome. Thinking of all that, I decided to surrender and just cry. Crying is a physical release of emotion, and I cried for almost an hour. But I'm not the kind of person that cries and life goes on, I had to put a plan into practice, so I started a to-do list:

  • Morning Ritual
  • Meditation
  • Gratitude Prayer
  • Exercise
  • Networking with Like-Minded People
  • Health Diet

   Since I'm beginning this process of Self Love, I decided to do a Juice Cleanse. I know juicing is not for everyone and I'm not promoting this in here, but I have an intention. I want to nourish my body with live energy and also remind myself that I can take the time to take care of my physical, emotional & spiritual health.

   Two of my friends agreed to do the cleanse with me, which was great!  We went shopping and spent hours preparing the juices. 

    Everything in life is better when you have good company and fun along the way.  

   I wanted to share this with you guys, so you know that everyone struggles... is Life! 

   But it's your choice to decide how to react. 

   I decided to come Clean. Emotionally Clean! 

   Get rid of the negative emotions and make room for the good ones… 

   Love, Joy, Compassion, Kindness & Happiness! And I wish that everyone could try to do the same.

Hey Old Dog, I'm doing very good thanks for asking. I've worked and learned a lot in the past months, so no time for Steemit. What about you? Everything good?

I'm actually working less and doing more here on Steemit! I'm doing pretty good for an Old Dog!

That's what I trying to do too. But first, I have to put in order what I have learned so far. I will start posting here on Steemit soon! Great to hear that your doing good!

I’ve seen so many people depressed lately and thank God I have my son and I am so grateful for my life, however, I believe we really need to work on our emotional health. Thank you for stoping by! I want to be an ‘Old Dog’ like you someday :)

I've never done an emotional detox, I've always tried to build my frustrations and to direct them. You are more of a Jedi while I'm a pent up rebel pilot. We're on the same team, but you know, you don't exactly approve of my ways : p

I just recently uploaded a dtube video of me making some juice, it's a short video meant to be a bit funny.

I think it's great you were there for your friend, it strikes a familiar chord in me. Life is so much more difficult to decode by yourself, we have natural tendencies to skew our own perceptions through myopia. This is why I insist in staying outside my comfort zone!

I know I said I do not emotionally detox, but I do like to dance :D It catalyses positive images in my mind, and it was a very special feeling to finally conquer inhibitions that always made me shy away from dancing. Not to mention you sweat like crazy, two for one detox!

Preciso muito de uma desintoxicação dessas. A comida, a rotina e o estresse diário nos deixam extremamente sujos por dentro. Vou seguir o seu conteúdo e ver se pego umas dicas, haha.

Acredito que o detox emocional é até mais eficaz que o fitness. Acho que com pequenas ações farão muita diferença no seu dia a dia. Espero que tudo fique bem. Abraço!
