RE: Eat Healthy, Live Well • Original Vector Illustration + A simple message from me, Now I want to hear from you!

We go with what is made in Australia, prefer Australian owned as well. There are a few exceptions--I still love chocolate--although I can get Australian grown dark and milk chocolate. This country of origin started when we learnt that a number of countries use products that are harmful to our health, let alone the environment.

I also buy as close to the raw product as possible, and cook from that state. Yes, this also takes time and love. I have found the correct portion sizes for what I cook. All of it ends up in the freezer to be used at some later stage.

My partner (significate other half) has high blood pressure and is lowering it with hibiscus tea and also beetroot juice. He has changed from a high sugar to using honey.

For me, I can not sing enough praise for my current chiropractor. He has given me tips to help with my current work situation, got me through around three months of cleaning my unit for sale and now after all that my body is saying enough and given me vertigo. I did go to two medical doctors the first said stress associated with my work load of selling the unit, the second told me it was vertigo and gave me pills--which I have taken. The chiropractor has adjusted and given me exercises to do.

All in all, everyone is different and what suits me may not be good for you. At least be open to try new things and give it a decent amount of time such as a month unless there is an adverse reaction.

One of my jobs was in the produce section of a supermarket. I use to say that I work here to get high on the smell of summer fruits. Which, I did.

Wow, thanks for sharing, @miriamaendres! This is exactly what I had in mind - I'm interested to hear from people all over the world & learn from them. Buying locally sourced goods are better for you and your local economy, so I must give kudos for that.

And hibiscus tea? Now I'm learning! I'll have to figure out how to make it and give it a shot. Caring for two toddlers and keeping business operating smoothly sure has ways of raising my blood pressure..haha maybe I need to get some recipes from you!

I want to say that I'm not against taking pills, but I feel that is the first method of treatment far too often (at least here in the US). I sought medical 'care' from my primary physician and also a specialist - both were immediately pointing to pain medications - I had even told them my threshold for pain is pretty high and I had been living with the pain for several years already. Still, they offered pills and therapy. I left and never went back. Found a chiropractor that believed he could relieve my pain without masking it. He helped me see that it is possible, so I can't understand why any other doctor would want me to mask the pain, when it can be fixed. I took some herbal supplements and vitamins, did excercise that my doc recommended and I felt exponentially better within weeks. I still am very rough on my body so I occasionally go back to get realigned. It's amazing how powerful we can be when we feel good!

😆That is hilarious!

I'm glad that you decided to share and I wish you & yours the best Health, Wealth, and Happiness in infinite abundance!! Thanks again

The hibiscus tea we use comes from the "rosella" variety which is grown in the tropics and sub tropics of Asia and Australia.

This is the place where we have just started to buy from. We have bought 1kg or around 2 pounds. https://www.bushtuckershop.com/

The section that they make the tea from is prickly.

I do have to start putting more things on Steemit. Last few months have been full on.
