I am always late. Or so I used to be. My oldest hates being late, and I hate being pressured.

So now we hurry to get early.

It has its advantages.

At school recently, my daughter got to school extra early for the early class. There were too many kids enrolled, those who were merely on time, did not get a desk. They will now of course, but that first day, they were deskless.

I see its disadvantages, being the one to wait, when you could be the one waited on. But, I like it better from the early angle.

And, when I go to parties, and I am there early, I get to say hello to everyone as they get there. When I am late, there is always a wall of people - too many to deal with, so I end up in a corner somewhere.

Sorry early is uncomfortable for you. I don't know how I would feel if I had to wait in an uncomfortable wheelchair.
