China Refuses to Engage in Transplanetary Brain Transplant
According to an announcement in China's International Radio, China's former Undersecretary of Health, the brain surgeon Sergio Canavero announced that he would not be allowed to carry out a head transplant operation planned in China.
Chinese Organ Transplant Committee Chairman Huang Jiefu told the China Daily on Saturday (November 25th) that such an operation is both technically impossible and contrary to Chinese legislation on organ transplants.
Italian surgeon Canavero previously said in China that a seriously ill person's head would be transferred to the body of a brain-dead donor. Canavero claimed he had done this surgery in the past days. The Italian professor explained that the surgery was successful and lasted 18 hours.

We either have here a terrible translation or we are now moving brains from one planet to another? That would be quite a feat, in fact a double oustanding leap in technology xD
This Sergio Canavero has been touting with that head transplant for years, It know that it has been "successfully done" on animals, but results were not the optimum as these wouldn't survive more than some hours...
Another chinese scientist has performed a similar surgery on mices, making a two headed mice, again not sure what else has been progressed there...
So while I don't believe this is Impossible, perhaps there hasn't been enough research on the matter for starting trials with humans ...legally and publicly.
This is pretty interesting. I think nothing is impossible already now in the field of medicine which I guess good for the mankind to live longer. what do you think? :)
